Well, it’s done! I wish I could make more, but the thing is I’m out of time and need to make other items too. I finished this day bed long-long time ago but the textile part took a lot of time, because I was sewing it while my daughter was sleeping 🙂 Then I ordered a cat and a dog…
I chose this item by accident, saw some drawings in Scale Cabinetmaker issue, but decided to change the carving and the overall shape, well basically it has now little in common with that item, but the idea is from that issue. Sometimes I just need to make something cute and sweet, pink and girlish. It was just the right moment. But I also learned a lot of things – I totally forgot how fun it is to paint the furniture! I used Tamiya acrylics and my new airbrush for it. Some ideas didn’t work for it, but I enjoyed the process. The cat and the dog are super cute, I bought them from Russian artisan Victoria (it’s not me! :)) I love this cat, just the same cat had lived in my house for 15 years. She died 3 years ago, so I have this lovely miniature copy of her, what a treasure!
