Till recent time I was using one Russian plugin for authorization through Facebook and Google. However, there were some problems with the last one. Yesterday I’ve installed another plugin, which not only has OpenID, Facebook and Google, but Livejournal too (mostly used by those who read my blog in Russian). Hope, there will be no problems now.

Sometimes it happens!:)
First of all, I’ve updated scale calculator. Now you can see the scaled size not only in mm but in inches too.
I’ve also added the links to photo albums from different miniature shows. From Good Sam Show, for example.
Drawings apps
I wish I had the similar app on my site. I have an Android phone, as you know there are plenty of different apps available on market now. And there’s one just perfect for miniaturists. It’s called – Design Dimensions which has two versions – free and paid one. I use free version. It’s a database of items and their dimensions – furniture, lighting, plumbing. All you have to do is to scale it:)
Finally!
I finally found some good steamed pear wood in Moscow, soo hapy. Also lots of veneer, there’s gonna be lots of furniture!
Shelves – my small workshop
I don’t have updates about roombox, but I found some time to improve my working space a bit. Thanks to my hubby I have couple of new shelves. I’m very happy to be honest. The only thing that worries me now is how to manage all the instruments I have – I mean jigsaw, mini lathe, scrollsaw, table saw and little Dremel project table. Mostly they are fixed now, and moving them is a big deal really. So we are thinking of making some sort of “construction” that would make my life easier:)
So many things have changed in less than a year – we moved into the new apartment just couple years ago when I wasn’t mad about miniatures. So we just thought today that if we were moving now, our apartment design would be sooo different – I definitely need more space for my hobby and basically all I can do now is to add some more shelves:) Well, I hope it’s all for the best.
Hardware Shopping
Recently I found pretty good store near my house, they sell a lot of router bits for Dremel and Proxxon, and also they sell some miniature hardware, which is a a bit out of scale for mini stuff, but sometimes it’d fit. And the price is good!

First Dollhouse
I’m making it from scratch, because I want to make it in traditional russian style. I love Russian architecture, village houses, well it’s better show it:
I have a huge collection of such wonderful houses. So I decided to build a tradesman’s house. His little shop on the first floor, and couple of rooms on the second. It should be 17th century or 18th. Haven’t decided yet:) It’s easy to move from century to another – traditions in building wooden houses have remained nearly the same.
