Wall panels
I spent too much time on these wall panels. Not without mistakes, of course. At first I cut a lot of main panels, but when I started gluing them I found that they were too narrow. Lots of mahogany wasted, but was too late 🙂
Decorating Dining Room
It’s been a long time since my last post. I guess this is because we have quite long holidays in Russia (from 1st till 10th of January). But I did a lot these days – reorganized my workshop ( I’ll post about it soon), started working on drawings for the next commission, decorated part of the room in my dollhouse, and started exploring metalwork (basically, lathe).
So here’s what I made for my dollhouse – made wallpapers for the room, started gluing wall panels:
Something New
[nocrosspost][/nocrosspost]I decided to take a break from house building. Yesterday I found this wonderful Dickens’ Desk. The desk where Charles Dickens wrote Great Expectations. It was made of mahogany. This desk fetched almost 900 000$ at auction in 2008. I also found different variations of it on several antiques’ sites.
Windows
The last post about windows for this room. I printed the pattern on plastic.
The frame is made of mahogany. Here how it looked before sanding and gluing.
Art nouveau door
The first door for my dollhouse is finished. This is the first time I’ve tried to make it in art nouveau style. Lots of photos below.
The choice
Совсем неожиданно как-то получился перерыв. А паркет уже закончен, в этот раз рисунок в виде плетенки.
Hall parquet
I have only one room to make the floor for. Right now, the drawing is ready. The hall looks quite simple. But I really like it that way.
